I recently spent a week in Santa Monica and was moved by the amount of unhoused people in the city. I was also moved by the incredible sunrises (I know. It’s Santa Monica lady - it should be the sunsets that move you, but here we are!) I watched each morning from my balcony, with my coffee in hand. So, I decided to bring these 2 things together to raise money for The People Concern, which has an outpost in Santa Monica.
Pocket Rainbows are little bits of beauty and transformation in this fucked-up dystopian world we’re living in! This series is all about using art to heal and give back. I love making rainbows and spectrums. I don’t know where they’ll end up, but I love watching the transformation and allowing the spur of the moment reactions i need to make to produce the next color.
