LIL WORLDS OF WONDER How stunning are these little worlds of color and movement?! I recently unearthed these vibrant 3" X 3" canvases from my 2007 archives. They're loose and freewheeling with a playful energy between structure and chance. Lots of circles, spirals and bright drips - partly inspired by Beatriz Milhazes, who currently has a wonderful show at the Gugg. I'm working to bring back that sense of spontaneity and the slightly messy, less structured approach that gives these pieces their energy.
